Twice a year the German Professional Association for Technical Communication and Information Development (tekom) hosts a symposium. The fall conference in Wiesbaden, Germany in particular has firmly established itself as a meeting place for the entire German translation industry. Michael Sneddon and the MultiLing team were able to have more than 180 different discussions in two days and provided an exciting atmosphere at the conference with their traditional raffle at the MultiLing display (see picture).
On wednesday the tekom annual conference opened at the Rhein-Main-Hallen in Wiesbaden, Germany. Until Friday, the conference offered a broad range of cutting-edge topics as well as an international trade fair for technical communication and information management. This year’s conference added new features such as the ”Associations World;“ a joint booth where 18 trade associations from Europe and abroad showcase their respective countries. A special highlight took place on Thursday night, when the tekom-Dokupreis is awarded for its excellent instruction and operating manuals.
